Today's Daily Double is... the agent gets HANDS!
drive mode merged today, big monday. the copilot can now DO things instead of just saying things. you tell her what you want, she proposes the action, a confirm card slides up, you give it the nod, the frontend executes. she can walk you anywhere in the app now, and for anything destructive the card shows you exactly what dies before you click.
the confirm card is the important part imo. everyone is racing to give agents the ability to do stuff, and i think that little confirm moment is the only reason anyone will actually trust them, that pause where you read one plain sentence about what's about to happen and go yep, do that. if you get that sentence right people will let the agent do wild things. if it does one thing they didn't expect ("wait, it did WHAT") they will never hand it so much as a rename again, and it takes forever to earn that back. minor ui element but it's kinda the whole ballgame.
she also got a new name today (third one in ten days), shorter, friendlier, the kind you can say out loud without footnotes. there are two hard problems in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors.
fleet's riding heavy tonight, 70 of 100 instances up and chewing through sustained load like it's nothing, which a year ago woulda been a fire drill and tonight I barely looked at it. solstice this weekend, light til nine. the agent has hands and i have a bike, so, headlands.
