usually when a customer asks 'can your thing even talk to our thing?' that kicks off two weeks of docs and meetings and somebody's recurring calendar hold. today the question landed at breakfast and the answer was live by the afternoon, wrote support for their streaming protocol before lunch and then watched our simulated callers chatting away with their agent end to end, and i made the involuntary noise you make when the machine actually does the thing. also cleared two lil mysteries, a release that was quietly mailing transcripts to a placeholder address (letters to santa) and some telephony audio files born with no headers, which is a pain in the ass bc the sound is perfectly good but no parser will claim it. eleven people from a big customer piled into a sync and the traces were finally flooooowing and everybody got to feel it. also my todo list today contained the line "destroy the hub" with an mp3 attached, and i checked it off. no further comment
