Today's Daily Double is... woke up mid-tack!

6:15 this morning i surfaced out of the best dream, Al and i sailing around the bay, real wind, real heel, the two of us working the boat like we'd done it a thousand times. laid there a full minute trying to tack back into it. no dice.

carried it around all day instead. biked in, donut and latte at sightglass, recorded a video walkthrough handing off the simulator work (me narrating my own plumbing to some future stranger), fixed a test agent that turned out to be missing one lil bundle of preset metadata, which is why it looked fine at the dock and sailed sideways. two customer syncs, both good. one bit of infra news landed with a thud: turns out we DO need the fancy private networking for a big customer. booo. future me's problem.

salmon and quinoa and a weird japanese soda on the roof for lunch. read a research lab's post on interaction models in the evening and yep, that is what it's gonna look like. friends over for dinner. gonna have to do the real version of that dream one of these days
