Today's Daily Double is... one monday, itemized!
- up at 5 in the healdsburg dark, drove south before the commuters even dreamed of it
- breakfast burrito in emeryville, Al dropped me at BART and peeled off to fetch Lady
- met an engineer from a customer about wiring their system into ours, the good kind of meeting where both sides finish each other's sentences
- last week's websocket work merged across the whole stack
- shipped TWO sdks, one for the npm crowd and one for the python people, both generated straight off the api specs and both sitting in the public registries now where any stranger on earth can install em. never gonna get tired of that
- wrote the weekly update as three bullets, the last one was 'get sick and die' (a status update should have at least one line proving a human wrote it)
- 4:20 gtfo, ferry home, beer on the deck, cleaned the boat a little, short spin on the bike (gotta remind the legs they exist)
line of the day, muttered at my desk and then written down: i keep telling the robots to dance and they do so nicely
evening thought: be skeptical of everything, but be willing to shift the second you're proven wrong. skepticism without the shifting isn't rigor, it just makes you a dick
