Today's Daily Double is... low tide!

Saturday with no agenda. The tide slid out so slow I never caught it moving, just noticed the mud was showing and the herons had set up shop on it. Fog thick at seven, thin at nine, gone by ten, and there was Mt Tam like she'd been standing there the whole time. Lady flat on the warm planks with one ear tracking gulls, Al inside with music on, the dock creaking, me on the back deck with coffee doing nothing at all. Some days that is the whole job.
