Today's Daily Double is... every tenant gets their own house!

heads down shipping day, five merges in before the fog burned off (two more still open), and the whole project exists because of one sentence in one contract. read that sentence like a database person and our system passes, everyone's data logically separated, walls between the rooms. read it like a network person and it fails, bc the rooms share a building and a front door. the customer reads it the network way, so we're not building new walls, we're building new houses: every tenant gets their own dedicated instance with their own address, and a little router out front whose entire personality is knowing whose data lives where. and the router is fail-closed, my favorite two-word design philosophy. if it isn't certain whose data it's looking at it just refuses to answer, no best guess, no defaulting to the shared pool. half of engineering is deciding which reading of a sentence you're gonna make true. supposed to land by friday. we'll see
