Today's Daily Double is... waiting for nine o'clock!

the big worker split went to production today, and the real trick wasn't the shipping, it was the not shipping. everything was merged and staged by morning, an agent checking on the fleet every 15 minutes, and i coulda pulled the lever at 10am. young me would have, just to feel alive. instead the cutover waited til 9pm when the traffic thins out.

meanwhile, whack-a-mole: a customer said their runs felt slow, so i went digging and found 7 runs stuck IN PROGRESS with all the actual work already complete, kept digging, found 12 going back a day. wrote the fix scripts, taught the agent a reusable unstick move so next time it's one command instead of a pain in the ass archaeology dig, scaled the fleet by hand, and wrote up the root cause with four possible cures (and a favorite).

also demoed the new trace search. you just ask it "show me the five slowest calls this week" and off it goes and finds em. people want natural language? they can have it.
