Today's Daily Double is... new rubber!

took the new tires out for their first real ride, 37.5 miles at lunch, 16 and change average. bought em the week before japan so they sat on the boat all trip lookin sad. fresh rubber on smooth pavement goes hmmmmmm and it is a very good sound. the legs took about ten miles to remember what the hell they were for (ten days of temples and train seats will do that) and then came back all at once, and it turns out jet lag cannot survive two hours of hard breathing, the body just declares it daytime and that's that. ate everything in the fridge that wasn't nailed down, asleep by nine. season's open
