shipped a fun one this morning, a metric that listens to uploaded call audio and grades the speech-to-text word by word against a ground-truth transcript. unglamorous plumbing, the best kind.

then in the evening i went to an ai meetup. full inventory of the meetup:

• one (1) box of chips
• six (6) la croix
• fifteen people talking loudly about how degen they are about ai
• zero demos

i left when the chips did.

also japan got real today. called the hotel in osaka (my slowest politest english) to confirm the sumo tickets land before we do, and they will. booked lady into her happy kennel where she loves everyone more than us. and started sketching a lil cli setup wizard at work, the kind where the tool interviews you and wires itself up. more on that if it survives the week.
