work was a grind i'll spare ya (trace metrics built, tested, merged by seven, plus a test robot that refuses to talk, which makes testing a talking robot sorta philosophical). the real event was the bike shop. went in for an e-pump. came out with:

• one e-pump (the thing i actually came for)
• a bottle cage
• a jersey
• CLEATS. FOR. AL.

my wife is clipping in, ommgggg. she is gonna topple over motionless at a stoplight in front of strangers like every one of us has, and then she will be a cyclist. already planning the paradise loop dates.

then we caught the 7:15 ferry home TOGETHER, same boat, loot in a bag between my feet. called mom on the walk down the dock and she's good. good day.
