groundhog day party is monday and the boat has to look like people who have their lives together live on her. saturday chore list:

• galley
• window scum
• the mystery corner behind the stove (why is it always sticky?)
• whichever spot Lady is laying on, then the next spot she relocates to with a heavy sigh, which is always exactly where i need to mop next. a system

got after it unprompted this time, Al directing traffic (last weekend she carried too much of the cleaning before guests and I was rightly sheepish about it). ran january back in my head the whole scrub too: new job, broke production, unbroke production, fake noise and fake silence, a sea otter, the bike-shop pants incident. three weeks that felt like a season. boat's clean, beer's stocked, rodent's coming
