Today's Daily Double is... charts of the Abacos!

Gray Sunday, rain thinking about it all day and never committing. I got the charts out again. The Abacos, that scatter of low islands on the Atlantic side of the Bahamas, where Al and me and Lady (ofc Lady is coming) will someday be threading through on a boat we haven't even met yet.

This is what winter Sundays are now. Boat listings after dinner. Anchorages with names like Man-O-War and Hope Town. Sail plans I can only half read. ASA classes on the calendar, knots practiced on the dock lines while the coffee cools. Meanwhile the boat I actually live on doesn't go anywhere at all, and that's fine. She holds us up. That's her whole job and she does it faithfully.

Someday is a word that does a lot of work around here. Tonight it just has to hold a chart open on the galley table.
