Today's Daily Double is... the first saturday exhale!

one week at the new gig and the body still thinks 5:30 is wakeup time, so here's saturday, in order:

• up at six anyway, dark out, coffee going, flat water, nobody needing anything from me
• walked lady up the hill, she found every smell she'd been rationing all week
• caught myself thinking about the volume slider i left half-built on friday (features follow ya home now)
• the todo list still says watch the gaddamn sumo. the basho is happening RIGHT NOW an ocean away and every day i don't watch it i rewrite the todo with one more damn in it
• tide chart
• second coffee
• al reading in the good light
• lady flat on the deck
• herons out along the mudline doing heron stuff

week one: survived, maybe even good. i earned this couch and by god i intend to lie on it
