Today's Daily Double is... agents with nowhere to be!

thursday of the free week and i have a finding to report: agents are more fun when nothing is due. same models, same terminal, same me, but take away the deadline and the ticket number and it stops being a workflow and starts being a jam session. today i pointed one agent at the games backlog with the laziest prompt i've ever written, basically "poke around, find the three most embarrassing things, fix the easy ones, tell me about the hard ones", and had a second one drafting a refactor of my voice-command config while I sat there with my coffee (supervising nothing).

on the clock you can't prompt like that, you write real specs and you review everything bc it's your name on it. off the clock you can just say "make it better" and watch what the model thinks better means, and that's not slacking, that's scouting. learned today that one of em has a real weakness for extracting helper functions nobody asked for. good to know! that's the kind of thing you only learn by giving it room.

four days til the new gig and then the noodling stops being free. worth it tho
