Today's Daily Double is... the great loiter!

woke up to a day nobody had claimed, so:

• got on the bike before the fog finished lifting and went north past the judging cows
• coffee at the lil place i call chikkichak bc that's what it's called in my head and no map can stop me
• kept going all the way to petaluma. 58 miles and 3000 feet of climbing
• hung the bike on the hook inside the SMART train and let it carry me back to larkspur while i ate a gas station sandwich and felt like a genius
• started building sayExcuse, a voice bot whose entire job is to CALL YOU on the phone and deliver a believable excuse so you can leave whatever you're stuck in (pipecat for plumbing, webrtc for the call, a speech api for ears, elevenlabs for the mouth, a model for the lying)
• oops also bought a claude subscription
• got the bot deployed and got it working..... famously not at the same time
• hit my rate limit til 7pm, so the machines said go touch grass
• did. walked Lady and fell down a herring hole: the spawn kicks off when the bay drops below 54 degrees, one number and it's a dinner bell for the whole coast, harbor seals at record counts within DAYS, sea lions, gulls, the works. asked the internet all my dumb follow-up questions and it delivered, ommgggg
