Today's Daily Double is... opening night!
christmas eve in miami, and after dinner we put Who Are You Xmas up on the tv and Al's whole family played it. and it WORKED. (one hard refresh. we don't talk about the hard refresh)
one of Al's cousins drew Smelly Mall Santa and fully committed to the bit. an uncle played an entire round as Krampus without knowing what a Krampus was, which somehow made it better. the Elf Union Organizer started an actual dinner table debate about labor conditions at the pole (pro-elf side won, as they should). and when Polar Bear (laid off by Coke) came up there was one beat of silence and then the exact laugh i built the whole thing for. ommgggg it was good.
i've shipped plenty of software to strangers and that's fine work, but watching people you love play a thing you made, in the room, is a whole different animal. Al squeezed my hand during the final round. merry christmas eve y'all
