Today's Daily Double is... landing in the pines!

red-eye math never works out in your favor, you leave at midnight and you land at dawn and you got maybe ninety minutes of that airplane not-sleep in ya. but then the doors open and it's north carolina air, cold, smells like pine and somebody burning wood. i missed that smell.

now i'm at the family place in Cary. Al's here, the coffee is weaker than mine and somehow better (don't ask me how that works), and the fridge is already overloaded bc turkey day is two days out and my people do not play about turkey day.

technically a remote work day and I did open the laptop with a serious face on, but the fried brain wanted toys not tasks, so mostly i noodled around, poked at some launcher tooling, kicked the tires on a couple new models, that sorta thing. doesn't really count as work but w/e, it counts to me.

tonight: a real bed, no water under the floor for the first time in months. gonna sleep goooood.
